Public DefenderCharles M. Corn is the Public Defender in Bradley, McMinn, Monroe and Polk counties. The Public Defender's Office represents indigent individuals charged with criminal offenses. Mr. Corn has 2 offices in the 10th Judicial District, one in Cleveland, Tennessee and one in Athens, Tennessee. There are 6 Assistant Public Defenders: 4 full time, 2 part time, 2 investigators and 2 secretaries. The Public Defender's Office handles court in both General Sessions and Criminal Courts. The Public Defender is an elected position for an 8 year term. |
